On the evening of October 2, 2011, a girl in a short skirt won over all the audience and judges with her passionate samba dance during the "Dance In the Forest" competition on Shanghai TV, and successfully advanced to the final. When the host told everyone that she was a disabled dancer with a prosthetic leg, everyone's mouth dropped open in surprise!

The girl, liao Zhi, has loved dancing since she was a child and regards dancing as the most important part of her life. When liao grew up, she became a dance teacher at a dance school in Dezhou, Sichuan province. On May 12, 2008, liao lost both his legs below the knee in a sudden earthquake. When everyone felt sorry for the dance elf, Liao Zhi was secretly encouraging himself in his heart: I can't give up, although there are no legs, but as long as the effort, still can jump out of the beautiful dance!

A few months after the amputation, Liao zhi's wound gradually conformed. Soon, the Organizing committee of Miss World would hold a large-scale benefit performance, liao Zhi decided to participate in the beautiful dance to pass the confidence of life to every amputee. After much consideration, Liao designed a dance called "Drum Dance", which uses a drum as a prop, and he kneels directly on the drum to dance.

This is the simplest thing for ordinary people, but for Liao Zhi who just finished amputation surgery soon is extremely difficult.  Kneeling on the drum training, a pain let her sweat, legs are involuntarily trembling, the whole body tremble after a few minutes .  Because she lost the support of her feet, she tried to endure the pain and performed. The impact of the drum was often played up and down, and liao Zhi almost fell down several times.  Her mother, who accompanied her to see her daughter training so hard, advised her to give up many times, but Liao Zhi gritted her teeth and stuck to it.  In order to complete "Inspiration", Liao Zhi put off the second operation.  Finally, three months after the Wenchuan earthquake, when a red dress,Liao Zhi dance on the drum with legs wrapped in thick gauze ,  all the people on the scene was shocked!

 From then on, people remembered the strong girl named Liao Zhi.  In 2009, wenchuan charity gala, she conquer the scene of all the audience once again with beautiful dance , to  infected every disaster area people with the faith of never admitting defeat .

Liao longed for a pair of legs to move freely, because walking with prosthetic legs felt like stepping on a high master making it difficult to keep balance, not mention to dance.  She doesn't give up -- every morning when she wakes up, she puts on some fast music and practices desperately, lifting her legs, spinning in circles, pressing her ligaments...  Sometimes we need to practice kicking with the dressing mirror. After practice, the base of the dressing mirror is broken, and the scar is so painful that the whole body shivers.  Chongqing road is not easy to walk, after leaving the hospital Liao Zhi chose to stay in Chongqing, go out alone to practice walking. Everything comes to him who waits, Liao Zhi uses the prosthesis on the body more and more skilled, prosthesis and dance union is becoming more perfectly day by day...

 With excellent dance skills, followed by "Dance Forest Congress", Liao Zhi was invited to the eighth national paralympic Games opening ceremony of the third "light of life" as the leading role, she danced with all their enthusiasm and life, issued their own light of life!
