College Park Soleus make your life be fully with passion

2019-08-18 Hits:

Back to my normal life.

I'm Jane

Globe-trotter, peer mentor, home cook, motivational speaker, nature lover, music and art lover.

Gender: Female/Amputation: BKA

False foot: Accent/Foot shell Color: fair complexion

During her junior year in 2001, Jene lost control of her scooter and crushed her ankle, leg, foot and big toe.

In the decade since the accident, she has undergone 21 surgeries for a stubborn and grueling staph infection.

Jane felt emotionally and physically exhausted.

Her leg is useless and harmful - it is destroying her life.

After years of decline, chronic pain and extreme depression, Jen was determined to find another path.

She read exciting stories of positive amputees online and learned about the technology available.

After much deliberation, she had her leg amputated almost exactly 10 years after the accident.

Today, Jane lives a passionate life.

She wears her College Park Soleus foot for activities like biking, golfing and hiking, and can always change into Accent feet, fashion looks and heels.

Since my accident, I have only been able to wear trainers or flats.

I can only choose half of the rows in the shoe store, and it reminds me of the disability.

Boots are popular and fashionable, but I am sad that I have to compromise.

It never occurred to me that I would not be able to do anything because of my disability, at least not shoes!

The Accent foot gave me freedom, choice of shoes, and a sense of femininity and confidence.

Because of it, I can now walk into a room and enjoy dressing up!
